I have died for literally the stupidest things in this game. Don't even say Dark Souls because that's just a whole other story. Yeah yeah i know, this is a stupid reason, like who doesn't hate dying in a game? But seriously, Dying Light for me is like the cherry on top for annoying deaths. Lets talk a little bit about the fabled holy sword shall we? I didn't even realised it worked like that until i tested it out, because i had been chopping up dead zombie limbs on the ground and noticed my weapons were breaking really quick, so i took note of the durability number, hit a fence with my weapon, checked it and sure enough it had gone down. Y'know all those times where you've swung at a zombie but then it moved and you clipped the wall by accident? Yeah, say goodbye to that durability point.
Why am i being so stingey about it? Well because every single hit, no matter what you're hitting counts and deducts a durability point. Now as for weapon durability, most weapons that i've been coming across lately have been decent, typically between 40-60 durability, but if you're a person like me who loves to hack the crap out of zombies, well, anything less just ain't gonna cut it, heck, 40-60 barely does it. Because now it's trash, all you can do is either destroy it for metal parts or sell it, or if you want you can THROW IT ON THE GROUND!.sorry :sweat_smile: What happens when you run out of repairs? Well that's it my friend, say goodbye to that really awesome weapon that you put all those great upgrades into and awesome mod on. Any weapon that is purple tier and above gets four repairs. Any weapons below the purple tier only get three repairs, which means if your weapon breaks and you have the correct parts to repair it (usually just metal parts) then you can only repair it three times. When you die in Outpost Rush there will be no durability loss penalty making this a fun and casual game mode for those looking for a quick PvP fix outside of Wars.Now don't get me wrong, some of the weapons in this game are freaking sick and the mods you can do to them are awesome, but how the whole weapon system works is just stupid.įor starters the repair system.
